i'm more relaxed than i have been in months

my husband and i are enjoying a well-deserved three-day weekend out of town for our anniversary. work went to shit for me this week, so this couldn't have come at a better time.

we spent last night in denver, we're in colorado springs tonight (we're off to the garden of the gods shortly) and then back to denver to see the king tut exhibit before heading home tomorrow night. so far, it's been a lot of eating and drinking and lying around. tonight we get to see a very dear friend we haven't seen for a few months and plan on stuffing ourselves silly again.

this is the first time we've left town since we were married and i'm loving every minute of it.
