My partner has been having a problem with his homophobic neighbor

I heard about her for three years and told myself that she better not ever engage me. Well, last month she did. She started with her crap and I just smiled the biggest grin I knew how and gleefully flipped her off. She was so rattled after that that she couldn't go to work and claimed I cost her $55.00 that day. Jason's father filed a complaint with the housing authority and they asked him log her comments that she makes to him outside...here is what he has recorded so far:

This all coming from a JAMAICAN immigrant who is living on section 8 and disability. What nerve.

We just ignore her now, but we are still logging her hateful comments. She is always threatening to report jason to the boulder housing authority and get him evicted. Jason is ignorant on landlord/tenant law and spent the last couple of years thinking that any day they were going to show up and throw him out. Just like that...I assured him that he can't get evicted without a hearing and a court date.

16. Jamaica has a serious problem with virulent homophobia

in a subset of the population. The government does nothing to address the problem. Male homosexual acts are punishable by ten years in prison. Women who are lesbian (or who are perceived to be lesbian) are at risk of so-called "corrective rape" by gangs of thugs. The neighbor sounds like she has done nothing to outgrow the prejudices of that culture.
