I've lost close to 80lbs this year, stopped drinking and started working out to get lean-toned and if I want mashed potatoes with butter, vegetarian stuffing, sweet potato pie and a bowl of vegetarian chili, then I am going to enjoy it.

3. That slideshow isn't helpful. Fat isn't evil & deprivation is no way to lose weight. |

Eat a balanced diet with lots of veggies, limit the sugar & chemicals and you'll lose weight. A lot of the foods pictured look delicious and healthy.

4. Why was that "depressing"? |
|
They offered lighter options for many of those dishes. And, there are loads of recipe make-overs out there for most of the rest of it. Many of them are as good or better than high-fat/sugar/calorie versions. As for the cream soups, use a blender/immersion blender to puree a vegetable soup, and you won't even miss the cream. There are a ton of recipes on the Internet, and with many of them, they're really, really good, AND you can eat the whole pot of it without any guilt.
