The most I won on any one ticket was $10.
I play every once in a while in real life and the most I've ever won was $7.

Or it might be somewhat enlightening. I think there are a disproportionate number of people walking around in these here United States who are convinced that some day, and soon, their lottery ticket will be their entree into the world of big bucks. Hence, their relentless advocacy for taking it easy on the wealthy, because just any minute now they'll leave the work-a-day world and their crummy hovel behind, flown away on the wings of the magical lottery ticket.
Full disclosure: I buy a lottery ticket about five times a year. I do not anticipate ever hitting it big (or even medium), but it's a nice diversion for five bucks annually.
