2. Me too. I used to set headline type on a phototypositor.
Snell Roundhand is an elegant and clean script and the connecting strokes always lined up perfectly.

Nowadays, I use his Georgia as the default text font.

7. And fixed 'em with paperclips!
Only used the typositor in college - called it the Headliner, because that's what it was used for - and did the rest of the typesetting on an ancient CompSet. My degree waz in something else, but guess what I did after graduating? Yup. I won a Zapf once, too (I mention this only because you'd know what it is, not to brag about a meaningless award).

Do you find yourself marking up text when you're reading for fun? I was bitching about the (lack of) kerning in the WA in an ad for the new Wallstreet movie the other night...

DOUBLE Respek Knuckles to you!

8. I find myself opening a book at the bookstore, tilting it, and looking for rivers.
I love type. Made my living at it for several years. And that apostrophe before the em needs a nice kern.

9. Drives me nuts about HTML - very little type control
Yeah. I thought 'A River Runs Through It' was going to be a totally different movie...

I did it until desktop came along and people thought they could do it themselves. It's just one of the many industries I feel I helped kill by working in it (landlines is another).

10. I suck at HTML. I tried to put the first line of the body in 6 point, but I couldn't.

11. It's like using an EPICS, only sucky
it's a lot of extra coding, instead of "pt6.5/ll22.5/l7" etc

4. Looks like Carlos went skiing before picture day...

The reverse raccoon sunburn... sunglasses? Ski goggles? Too much time peering into microscopes?
