2. I have never seen anything like that
in any pub in Ireland.

But we have several "Irish" pubs here and that sounds like something they would serve.

5. Sorry, but ick.
In Harrison, Nebraska, at Sioux Sundries, they used to serve this hamburger (28 oz. of meat).

Equally ick.

8. I think it's actually Scottish...

...named after Angus MacAndcheese -- the scion of
the largest clan in Scotland to be comprised mainly
of professional students and entry-level workers.

I LOVE outrageously topped and gooey burgers, but
that DOES look pretty disgusting.

Now, if you follow that theme along its logical path,
and you serve a burger topped with beef-flavored
ramen noodles or a Banquet pot pie... I'm all over
that baby.

7. Dillon's is a decent place.
I'm not sure exactly what qualifies it as an Irish pub other than declaring itself so, but the beer is cheap, especially for Hollywood, where drinking is pretty expensive. The food that I've tried is also cheap, considering the neighborhood, and good. If it hasn't been noted elsewhere in the thread, it should be noted that Dillon's is on the iconic corner of Hollywood & Vine.
