My poor car's turn signals are broken...
Edited on Thu Sep-30-10 02:50 PM by TheMightyFavog
I'm stuck hand signaling until the 11th when my mechanic gets back from his Fishing trip in Canada.

How did people stand hand signalling in the days before electric turn signals and power steering?

1. By not using them,
as is the case with turn-signal lights today ;)

I have to wonder how many drivers will even know what you are doing with your hand to begin with...

2. Both?
If they both went at once, it may just be the fuse.

9. Mine finally gave out. They got erratic and then just finally stopped working.
I think its the turn signal relay assembly. I just gotta find the damn thing.

10. Checked the fusebox.
All the fuses looked fine. I'd been having problems with the blinkers before. Specifically, the right signal was not working to well, and not working at all when the headlights were on. In fact, the right indicator still remains lit (but does not light) when I have the headlights on.

5. I only use one hand signal - it only requires one finger. Besides, you'll fit right in now.
SUV's and Beemers don't have turn signals either.

7. I sometimes wonder, too,
if people have forgotten how to face forward and look at the road... ;)

11. I saw a guy doing it the other day. I thought WTF is he doing.

Then it dawned on me. It is odd. Most people probably thought he just had his hand out the window. What good does it do when most people probably have no clue what your doing? And what if it is freezing balls outside? Frostbite, anyone?
