1. And Southwest just bought AirTran
so I wonder what that will be like.

4. As long as they call it South-Tran and not Air-west
The old AirWest was one of the worst airlines ever, IMO. In fact, many called it "AirWorst".

8. They did? Darn it.
I liked flying AirTran. I got upgrades for $99.

2. Weird looking but I like it
I think Delta just totally repainted all the Northwest planes to their Corporate logos, making NW just totally invisible
This way, at least some of the identity of Continental survives, and as someone who has gone through this process, its kinda nice to be able to keep some of the old identity especially if you work for the old Continental Corp.

7. Too bad
I always thought a merger should at least try to keep some stuff from both companies alive.

9. I could understand 'interim' if that were a Continental plane, but it's a UA reg number (N53442UA)
Which means they had to repaint the entire plane, not just the name.

Plus, the merger agreement stated that the new entity would use the Continental livery and the United name.

5. I hope the New UA (Continental) will discontinue the over-use of 'Rhapsody in Blue'
when this merger is complete. I love Gerschwin and RiB, but UA has bastardized it long enough.
