We dodged the bullet, yet again.
I checked the Northeast radar about five minutes ago, and it looks like the worst we're going to get is almost over already; just some rain and a very few wind gusts.

Maybe it's karma, maybe it's because so many rich people live here in town, but we seem to be in an isolated pocket of less-than-drastic weather. It typically hits to the north of us by about 10 miles(I can watch those thunderstorms from my screen porch), or hits to the east and northeast of us. (Though the town was essentialy leveled by the 1938 hurricane. Long Island did not soak up enough energy from that one to save this town.)

I'm not about to complain, no matter what the reason is.

1. Yeah, I don't think it was as bad
in my part of CT, either. Some heavy rain, some flooding in some parts, but I don't think the wind was as bad as they thought. And it didn't seem like we got as much rain as they predicted either.
