(I don't do this very often by the way, but am very happy there's an Otto Spell Checker) I think I see why reactions times are 'off'.

It's not that they are truly off, it's that your (or my) mind is a fraction of a second behind what my body is already doing, and because it thinks the body didn't hear it the first time, it sends the signals to do it again, thus over-compensating.

It's kind of weird to walk (much less type!) when your body is already moving and your mind is like "Wait! I'm not there yet! Do that again!" :P
