McNabb, Redskins kicking Eagles' ass in Philly right now. Crowd cheered, then boo'd |
|
Donovan McNabb, former Eagles QB, then the Eagles with Vick went 3 and out. Skins promptly got 14 points in the first 10 minutes. Eagles have no points and Skins D seems like they are handling Eagles O line just fine, so far.
Philly sports guys with few exceptions talked big about this game, and about how McNabb was no longer any good, and the Skins had no team.
We shall see - I'm and Eagls's fan rooting for the Redskins in both their games this season.

|
Andy Reid might be QB...

4. Kolb led Eagles down to the end zone, but they could not get a TD - |
|
took a second FG - score now 17-6 Skins going to half time.

9. My wife asked me whether the NFL allowed the Eagles' Owner to shoot Vick if he's injured...... |
|
I thought it was a reasonable question.....

10. Whoa there, Tex....what are you getting at here? |
|
I'm no Vick fan myself; I'm glad the Eagles lost tonight but are you really wishing death on this guy? If I took your post the wrong way I apologize

11. It's a snark at dog-fighting. |
|
Severely injured dogs are frequently executed and dumped by their owners (and in his confession I believe Vick admitted to such behavior) rather than taken to a vet because any vet worth a damn is going to recognize the signs of dog-fighting and call the police.

14. Mr. Vick also tortured his dogs before he "executed" them. |
|
I can't say I'm disappointed that he's been hurt. Neither are my dogs and cats.

Although I don't like Vick for various reasons (dogs) I don't like to see anyone hurt. Hope he recovers soon.
AND- Denver won.

16. I lol'ed with the cheering and then LOUD booing... |
|
And as I told others here, I'll take McNabb over either Kolb or Vick (barf). He's not a better athelete than Vick and Kolb may end up being the better QB eventually..but he's a class act AND a pretty good leader on the field and brings a lot of intangibles that I think Eagles fans tend to discount. He may not have the best stats but right now, he seems to be able to at least run the offense competently and given the problems of the last few years, thats a big positive in DC.

18. I posted on the Official 'Skins fan site in spring that I thought McNabb |
|
and the Redskins would beat the Eagles both times this season. Well, I'm already half right, and the 'Skins beat Dallas, too - they are 2-0 in the division, and if they vastly improve their D line, they might actually get somewhere this season. They have a good running game, and McNabb is still a decent QB and they have a great coach.
Redskins, all the best this season from this Eagles fan - we can feel the sucking start here in Philly, so I will try to catch mors Skins games...Eagles without a good D are pretty bad indeed.
