1. Depends on the subject.
If it's about social interactions, then women. It it involves a process, especially a mechanical or geographic process, then men.

5. Right you are... and that reminds me...
.
.
.
...of a post that I made elsewhere about my poor dog Sandy --
a medium-sized collie with whom I grew up.
.
When we were all in the family room watching TV, she would
lay nearest MiddleFingerMomDad on the couch. Occasionally,
he would very sternly rebuke, "SANDY!!!" and we would turn
to see her ears down in shame and guilt -- and then the
awful, awful, AWFULLEST stench would assail OUR senses.
.
"EWWWWWW... SANDY!!!!"
.
. Guiltier, greater-shamed ears.
.
. It NEVER EVER dawned on us that MiddleFingerMomDad had
completely and permanently lost his sense of smell during an
artillery barrage in WWII -- so the ONLY way he would be the
first to register a stench was... well...
.
.
.
POOR doggie. POOR sweet, sweet doggie... innocent of ALL...
well... MOST charges, anyhow.
.
.
.
.
.
.
You KNOW you need help when NO ONE doubts for an instant that
the DOG was at fault.
