Anyone subscribe to Harper's magazine?
I need a two page article from their archive but am not a current subscriber. I'm hoping someone might subscribe and could get me the two pages and put them up on mediafire or other upload site.

*I actually was subscribing when the article was published but have no idea where it would be at this point. I didn't save full magazines. My library only has access after 1992.

Just putting in a request on the off chance someone has a current subscription. http://www.harpers.org/archive/1989/11/0059085

2. I once got some backarticles from Threads Magazine. I was never a subscriber but someone
was selling old issue on ebay or something like that. Try the internet.

4. I'm was hoping for an easy fix
I clipped the article and have it somewhere in the house/attic but have no idea where. I believe I even scanned it several years ago but it is on one of about 1000 CD/Rs that I'll probably not be going through until my old age(if I know me).

I was just taking a chance that someone here might be a subscriber. Harper's went through a period where it got almost exclusively political and I let my subscription lapse. I think it has gotten better (more literature) now so I may just join up again.

Thanks for the suggestion. :)

5. Hey thanks!
That would be great! I stopped at the library and copied their label information to try as a last ditch effort. The library told me they don't have access to pre-1992 issues so I know they haven't officially signed up. It is just a matter if I am the first to try and whether or not it is illegal.

I subscribed for at least a decade but lost interest when there were less and less literary articles. I have no problem supporting the organization I just don't think about magazines much anymore. I'm just looking for the exact wording in that Creative Visualization blurb (I know the humor is dated by now).

6. I guess I'm the only cheater at my library.
I got the article in pdf format. I still find the headline writer's humor amusing.

I really appreciate your offer of help. I realize I should have just gone up in the attic and looked through some boxes but I know I clipped the article out of the original magazine before I moved several years ago and it really would be a needle in a haystack.

I glance at Harper's at the library every couple of months (mainly the Harper's Index and the first 20 pages with blurbs like the one I sought). Do you still enjoy the full magazine? It used to have a little bit of art, a little bit of literature, a little bit of politics and some humor around the edges. I let my subscription slide when it seemed to become all politics and I realized I had accumulated many issues where I had never even glanced at the Index.

As a 20+ year subscriber did you notice a similar change or am I misremembering? I'd really be interested in your opinion. Thanks.
