save the heartland cafe, world famous hippie haven
i know there are a lot of chicago du'ers, and chicago loving du'ers. i bet there are a lot of folks here that have been to the heartland cafe. it is a cultural landmark that needs to be saved.

even if you cannot make it to the benefit, if you are a facebooker, go leave them a quick note. but if you are in the area, please try to come by. heck, you might even get to meet bill ayers.

2. We have a hippie-themed and -oriented sandwich joint in NW Tucson...
.
.
.
...called "The Glass Onion" -- with many of the offerings
having Beatle-inspired names.
.
.
One of the favorite names, for oh so many reasons, is the
eggwhite-only breakfast dish -- the No-Yoko omelet.
.
.
There's also a sub shop near campus in Central Tucson
called the "Chiba Hut -- Home of the Toasted Sub".

Went there in '69 but have never been back to Chicago. But I have lots of friends from The Obama Campaign there! :hi: I put it on my facebook page.
