I know the trend is to get isolated, job related education, but a well rounded education makes you use your brain and think of things you never would normally. I had to take an art class once. I went in thinking I would hate it. I came out of it with a great love of impressionist art.

Or, his real job, athletics director, taught it, it was useless. Then I took algebra from a phd mathematics guy who actually liked and understood math. Not only could he explain it, but he liked it, and got it across to the whole class in maybe 5 minutes flat. Math teaching in this country sucks ass.
