It's hard to believe it's been 30 years since I left this place. Anyway, here is a shot from lunch yesterday looking across the valley at the stadium, with the campus in the distance to the right:

1. I've seen pictures of it before, but that chapel is some cool architecture.

Were you from a mountainous area, or was living in the shadow of a mountain range a new experience?

3. I grew up in the northeast, and had never been west of Ohio before I went there

I got on a plane to Colorado 3 weeks after my 18th birthday. I had only seen mountains in pictures. I was stunned by the beauty of it.

Did you freak out over how young everyone was when you went back? I do it all the time, can't believe how much time has passed.

Worse than that is remembering how old I thought the alumni that were there for reunions looked.
