And now, the Mike McCarthy firing pool!
How long before Mike McCarthy is fired?

Put me in for after the first game against the Vikings.

3. When is Brad Childress going to get fired?
That's the real question.

4. Alrighty then. Let me talk you off the ledge.
Brad Childress might get fired but t isn't his fault - Rice should have had his surgery eight months ago. But they didn't want to give him his money so he sat, then got his surgery. The GM wanted to have extra money for Favre. GM also WAY overpaid for Bernard Berrian. I could have told him that - but the vikes want a new taxpayer funded stadium so they figure they gotta win now.

As for Mike McCarthy: he is a good coach. Really. He saw that they had to dump Favre and give Rodgers a chance. But I think he made a mistake coverting the defense to a 3-4. I have been around long enough to see that there are fashions in football. 3-4 NY Giants with Lawrence Taylor successful, then teams emulated that. Bears with the 46 defense and get copied. And so on. Well, the Pats made the 3-4 fashionable (it also helps when you steal the other guys signals, but that is a different insult.). Everyone is running to the 3-4...and there are only so many good 3-4 players out there. The theory is there are more linebackers than defense ends. Back to the Packers - they are rebuilding their defense and have let the o-line get neglected in the draft. The o-line looks neglected. Rodgers is paying the price.
