We have had an experiment going too. A hot dog in a Ziploc baggie. And no mold.

6. I believe it. Easy enough to disprove, do the experiment yourself. |
|
They did this same experiment on an extra on the CD for Super Size Me with fries. Fresh potatoes vs McD's fries. No mold, no decomp at all.

9. Try it. Really. That is the only way to prove it. But my experience |
|
with white bread out of a bag is that it will not mold, it will just go stale and hard. Must be all those preservatives in it.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . Obviously... not a stoner experiment. . . .

5. Oh, good! My son works the midnight shift |

He needs some shelf stable food to keep in his locker, just in case he can't make it to the cafeteria by 1:00 AM when they close.

10. Perhaps a tiny, advanced civilization is keeping it preserved |
|
I suspect microbes in the nutrient rich environment evolved at a breathtaking speed and now they have a society with technology more advanced than our own. But their days are numbered. Burgerian scientists are already raising alarms that the vast fungal fields, which they harvest so efficiently that the pattie's surface never appears infested, cannot continue to meet the demands of growing, and affluent, population. Several expeditions to the neighboring French fries have been undertaken since an hour ago, at least three in the last few minutes, but they have not returned and are presumed dead.

15. To do this right, you have to make a burger and fries yourself and... |
|
leave it sitting on the shelf next to the McDonald's burger to see what happens. Methinks it will dry out and turn hard as a rock without rotting just like this one did.
Amazing! Food can do that.
Just going "Wow! The burger is indestructible!" without a control, or explanation, doesn't cut it.
