Prayers and good vibes for my daughter |
|
My youngest daughter broke her collar bone while aikido training. She will need a metal plate and screws - permanently. She is in pain, but she seems more upset that she cannot train again for a long time. Aikido is important to her. Her dojo is her family away from home.
Please send some DU love her way.

In lieu of plate and screws, some orthopedic surgeons are using titanium elastic nails (TEN) to reduce clavicular fractures. They can be and are easily removed.
I hope your daughter has a good outcome from this injury. Hopefully it won't be too long before she's back in business.

I had the same break and procedure done but they removed the plate and screws after six months. It was by far the worst pain I have ever been in. I hope your daughter's recovery is speedy and she can get back to her training.

15. Wishing her a speedy recovery |

As a practitioner of Aikido (or rather as one who practiced it a while ago) I can imagine how such an injury could have happened :(
I wish she makes a speedy and full recovery! :grouphug:
