And if you say "meh" then you really mean that you want Orrex to make sweet, sweet love to Bill O'Reilly.

1. Since I just watched Murder By Death, you are totally correct!
Great movie, that one.

I haven't had the courage to watch ST 2 - I loved the first one. Even though it was really bad, it was really bad in a really fun way. And it had naked boobies.

2. You can pretty much say the same about ST2.
Although the special effects had clearly been downgraded since the first movie. The bugs moved slower--just about the right speed to avoid having the main characters get chomped.

3. I did the smart thing and skipped the original as well...
:P
BTW, you should get down here to DC PDQ--They are filming Transformers 3 for the next few days here and causing traffic jams. I'm sure the headaches will be worth it for such a quality piece of art...

4. I rather liked it.
It was no Laurence of Arabia, but I found it entertaining.

Also: meh.

5. I liked it, too.
Especially as it was made to be a parody of Nazi propaganda films. As I understand it, Verhoeven studied such films before he ever started production. I thought he did a great job in that respect.

I have not attempted the second one. I would assume it makes the rounds on the SciFi channel, though...

This is obviously some sort of trick.

Sorry to disappoint.

16. That's not what Bill O's blog said.
IIRC, he used the words "passionate...caring...gentle" at which point I stopped reading due to the vomit I felt welling up in my throat.

9. There's a Starship Troopers *2*?!
:argh: :banghead:

Starship Troopers 1 would have been covered under my proposed "Bonfire of the Vanities Act", which would prohibit the motion picture industry from mangling classic literature into straight-to-video B-list fare. But a sequel?! :wtf:

10. You obviously have not seen Starship Troopers 3: Marauder
Edited on Wed Oct-13-10 03:57 PM by TheMightyFavog
Featuring a fight against an alien sporting what looks like a giant vulva. Did I mention that said alien uses this particular orifice to swallow one of the charaters? (Insert Yakov Smirnoff-style joke about cunnilingus here)

15. Since Netflix has
"bubba Ho-tep" on instant streaming, I would have to say you should have no sense of certainty of what you have just said.

bubba Ho-tep has Bruce Campbell. Therefore, my argument stands.

watched bubba ho-tep. Your argument remains as limp as a 1 legged dog with a sprained ankle.
