Need help. Transferring vinyl to computer
Loving my new record player, which came with software and a usb port and cord to transfer records to my computer. Everything is hooked up right, the records are being recorded, but I am only getting one channel recorded onto my computer. For instance, think of listening to a Beatles record. One speaker you usually get mostly music, and the other vocals. Well, I am getting mostly music and the vocals sound at a distance. So, in other words, one channel is being recorded.

I've rerun the software, made sure the USB cord was hooked properly, reread directions, etc. etc. etc., and I can't get this fixed. Please help a technology challenged baby-boomer! (By the way, I'm at lunchbreak at work, so I don't have equipment in front of me right now. Oh, when playing records on the turntable it sounds fantastic on my surround sound system).

1. Screw the USB connection. Pull the sound out of the headphone jack on the stereo.
Pipe that into the mic port on the computer and do that voodoo that you do.
