I mean, if we really were all trapped in energy-providing pods living out our lives in a virtual reality world like the Matrix, wouldn't that Matrix decide to create a movie like "The Matrix" in order to further fool the people in the Matrix into thinking there WAS no Matrix? Sure, people would start to wonder about the nature of their reality, but everyone else could just say, "You just saw that movie too many times." All of a sudden, every question about the alternate form of reality is rendered foolish because of the movie! That's EXACTLY what the Matrix wants!

I think I need to go take a nap.

1. It's essentially a scene-by-scene remake of Blake Edwards's "SOB"...
except with the inept studio executives replaced by mind-probing alien robots. But I swear there are times Keanu Reeves looks just like Robert Preston's clone.

3. Well, the irony I was going for was how "SOB" was supposed to be a satire...
... of how tedious, crappy movies get made by big studios. Oh, tangled web!

I guess there's some unintentional irony involved in a movie about Bill Murray having to do the same shtick over and over again for the rest of his life.
