1. Peel a carrot, and say "What's up Doc?"
You'll start to feel better already!

3. Guacamole is very healthy.
Probably not enough to overcome the rest of your (admittedly delicious-sounding) diet for the day, but very healthy. :)

5. All things in moderation or reasonable adjustment.

Nothing wrong with the coffee if you have one cup and it's black or very lightly sweetened and lightly skim-milked.

Likewise, two waffles one day a week isn't going to kill you, even with butter and syrup.

Nothing is wrong with the popcorn except the "butter" and the half-gram of salt...I buy plain kernels, air-pop them and rather than butter and salt I just give them a spritz of Bragg's Liquid Aminos (ypu can get this at your local health food store or probably at the supermarket. It tastes a little like soy sauce, has very little sodium by comparison (160mg per serving is 6% of your daily sodium, most tamari (soy sauce) is over 20%) and adds 310mg of a complete protein with is about 1 serving and Bragg's is 0cal. Also, it's delicious. A recipe for a yummy guilt-free snack at about 60cal./serving.

Chips and other snack foods. Opt against fried and you cut most of the fat. Portion them out in advance into ziploc so you can't "sit and munch" and you're good to go.

Chocolate. Buy good chocolate. It's more satisfying and you'll eat less of it. Really. Also, let it melt rather than chewing & swallowing....more enjoyment, less consuming. You'll find a chocolate bar lasting 2 or 3 snacks.

Can't help you on the Dr. P much. It, like all soda, is bad for you. The real sugar stuff is a little better for you, but not much. Best soda advice ever is buy small glasses and have a big glass of water for every small glass of soda.

By just doing the simple things with some thought you can lose a bunch of weight. Some others:

Fresh salsa makes a good salad dressing and has little to no oil. Still use sparingly, but it's more nutritious.
Works on pasta too. The Romans salted their salads.

Find the "apple fries". I love fast food, everybody does. On every fast food menu there is something actually healthy though. At McD's it's the apple fries...while they are meant for the kid's meal, I do believe they have to let you sub them for a small fry upon request under company guidelines. At Burger King and Wendy's it's an orange cup. Taco Bell actually leads this category with its' Fresco menu, the Fresco bean burrito may be the healthiest entree item on any major-chain fast-food menu.

Hate water but trying to drink more? Tired of lemons? Add a slice of cucumber. It's the new "in" thing in fancy bistros for serving still-water. It tastes good.

Not all fat is bad. Fats are filling, satisfying and you do need some dietary fats to live. I like avocados, I add them to everything. The fat satisfies your tummy and you eat less. The fats they provide are considered to be good fats.

And finally, eat slower. This is why I never eat alone; if I'm talking, I'm eating slower. I eat less.

Let's review: Smoking pot makes one paranoid and increases appetite. Do you really think I need either of those things?
