3. Hey, thanks!
I've been watching Ken Follett's Pillars of the Earth, Food, Inc., Harold and Maude, Man on Wire, some incredible documentary about making origami tht I can't recall the exact title of but I swear it will leave you openmouthed, Barton Fink, Some Call it a Sling Blade (the original short film that became the movie--very interesting!), among others.

Anything in particular you've liked?

12. A few of my favs:
Two that I wouldn't think I would like, but did: Star Trek & Zombieland

Others: The Orphanage, King of Kong, Bread and Tulips, Desk Set, Amelie, The Shipping News, On a Clear Day, No Impact Man, Blow Dry, Butterfly (La Lengua de las Mariposas), etc.

I have many of the ones you liked in my queue. I have been holding off on Pillars of the Earth because I want to reread the book.

:hi:

7. Irreversible is available, but about the most depressing film I have seen.
Even seeing Monica Bellucci nekid doesn't make up for the rape and beating scenes, hard to believe it is that gruesome, but it is.

From IMDB:
Events over the course of one traumatic night in Paris unfold in reverse-chronological order as the beautiful Alex is brutally raped and beaten by a stranger in the underpass. Her boyfriend and ex-lover take matters into their own hands by hiring two criminals to help them find the rapist so that they can exact revenge. A simultaneously beautiful and terrible examination of the destructive nature of cause and effect, and how time destroys everything.

10. DU could use a Netflix forum. I bet it would be kept busy.
Netflix and its streaming video is about the best bang for the entertainment buck I have ever gotten. Currently I am working my way through "Have Gun, Will Travel" and with 6 seasons of 35 or more episodes it will take awhile.

11. A Netflix forum would be great!
I just subscribed this month and I'm loving it. Right now I'm watching all the seasons of Dexter.

15. Count me as the second sponsor so we can have a NF group.
I'd be in there a lot.

We might need a separate thread, tho...
