Any group we join to have fun, is going to have the weirdos.
Star Wars fans show up in Princess Leia slave outfits, even though they are male and 50 pounds overweight.

Trekkies have people who dress up as post-"The Motion Picture" Klingons and even speak ONLY Klingon.

Whovians make their own working (except for the weapon) Daleks.

Furrys have "Fursuit Sex," and "Lifestylers."

Me?
I like furrys for the pin-up art of females.
And a lot of the art is damn good.
