4. in the 15 years I have been online, I always used fake names

when filling out forms on the internet. I googled myself,you cannot find me! Plus my full name is very common and you get pages and pages of search results.

My ex has a very rare last name and it's very easy to find him on the internet. I would hate that.

My last name is fairly rare, but by no means unique. Heck, there is a college in the midwest that has a building that bears my name - though, obviously somebody else donated the money to get their name on the building.

My ex-wife has a very rare last name and I know if I see it online somewhere, it's somebody related to her. I know when we were originally dating/engaged last century, she initially wanted to take my last name just so old boyfriends & whatnot couldn't find her.

My wife now is Chinese, so she shares her last name with tens of thousands of others, if not hundreds of thousands.
