After recoiling at the thought of it for several fall seasons, I gave in to my curiosity and tried a couple - BJs (yeah, I was there, what can I say?) and Buffalo Bill's. So far, I'm not that fond of it. I have a couple bottles of Dogfish yet to try - at least the dogfish has a high ABV so there's some redeeming value even if I don't like the beer that much.
Give me a good old porter or stout with coffee and chocolate overtones or undertones, whatever the beerophiles call it.

1. Dogfish Pumpkin Ale is awesome |
|
It makes up for the other two I tried and didn't care for. And it has 7% ABV.

3. It isn't my first choice |

but it's seasonal so I decided to try it. After tasting the Buffalo Bill and BJ's, I can see why people are horrified. The Dogfish was much better. We have a few stores here that sell beer by the bottle - it's a good way to try craft beers. I like this so I don't end up with 5 bottles of something I can't stand.

I'm not a huge fan of IPAs. We did try their mead once, that was pretty wild.

Have you ever tried Old Rasputin? I think it's 9.5% ABV so it knocks me on my butt. Beer Advocate gave it a 100 rating. It's awesome.

12. Wolaver's Will Stevens Pumpkin Ale |

Though the only one I don't like is the one made by Michelob (shocker). I forget the name of that one.

I'll look for it next time I'm at Total Wine - they seem to have "everything." Thanks for the suggestion!
