one of the most important things to remember
zombies act on movement. if they "see" you in their field of "vision" they will attack you.

in an urban combat situation, if you are separated from your team, find a vehicle and put newspapers or anything to cover you.

make sure the windows are intact.

zombies will not "hit" on you if you don't move.

there are effective strategies for hiding, but not escape.

in dense urban environments, you will be surrounded. if you have radio communication, you can alert to your location, otherwise, at some point, you will have to confront the inevitable.

1. I killed a half dozen zombies at work last week using putty.
They never saw me coming.

They were a bunch of orphaned extproc processes on the AIX box from some buggy software. They had the CPU up to 90%. Still testing the patch.

3. I love that scene in "Witness":
Eli Lapp: This gun of the hand is for the taking of zombie life. We believe it is wrong to take a zombie life. That is only for God. Many times zombie hordes have come and people have said to us: you must fight, you must kill, it is the only way to preserve the good. But Samuel, there's never only one way. Remember that. Would you kill a zombie?
Samuel Lapp: I would only kill the bad zombie.
Eli Lapp: Only the bad zombie. I see. And you know these bad zombies by sight? You are able to look into their hearts and see this badness?
Samuel Lapp: I can see what they do. I have seen it. I mean, the fucking skin is hanging off and they look like a used piñata and you can see inside their ribcages and shit.
Eli Lapp: And having seen you become one of them? Don't you understand? What you take into your hands, you take into your heart. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing. Go and feed your zombie mother now.
Samuel Lapp: Yes Grossvater.
