Have you ever done anything stupid while you were drunk?
Yeah, we all have. I did last night. Going on facebook while drunk is NOT a good idea. Neither is drunk texting. I need to leave my phone alone when I'm drinking. Now I'm going to be embarrassed for a while. Gah. :(

How do you get over something like that?

...sorry I was such a BAD DAUGHTER, and I wasn't just saying it because I was DRUNK, even though I WAS DRUNK. It was SERIOUS! And I was SORRY I was DRUNK.

3. Oh, yes
Apologize if it's needed. Otherwise, just let it go and chill out today.

6. I don't think I need to apologize for the facebook thing...
but the drunk texts...yeah. I deleted the facebook thing, and I hope a few certain people didn't see the status update. It was innocent (I commented how I found a particular person to be stunning last night, but in a drunken pitiful kind of way).

I wish I had the attitude to let it go.

13. If it makes you feel any better
I committed several crimes while drunk when I was younger. You've probably done nothing to hurt anyone. It sounds like you've just admitted to something that you feel when you are sober, but just didn't want to say. You'll be alright.

14. That's exactly what I did.
I have this thing for a girl, and I can't tell her while sober, so I announced it to my whole friend list on facebook. At least it wasn't in a creepy sort of way.

Thanks Tobin. BTW, looks like you had a good time yesterday with CalPeggy. I've never been to California, and I hope to make it there someday.

16. Live and learn.
Now, for the girl. Be the best you can be around her now. Kick it all up, go for a personal best, smile, and be gracious when around her, now that/if she knows you do, she might pay more attention. You two will have a great story to tell about how you got together.

5. Yup. Apologize and then never speak of it again. Chances are, other people are embarrased, too.
Embarrassed for you, or for themselves.

7. Has anyone NOT done anything stupid while drunk
would be an easier question to answer for most folks.

Just tell folks who ask that you were shit-faced and leave it at that. Laugh at yourself and others will laugh with you rather than at you. It's the only way.

9. Good point.
I just feel like an idiot right now. You hear all the stories on how people did drunk texting/facebook and you laugh, but you don't know what it's like until you actually go through it yourself.

I'll try laughing about it later.

Alcohol + cell phones = very bad idea. I'll remember that next time.

That looks like it hurt. Got into a fight I take it?

I would've welcomed that over what I did.

just get lost in the mix... :)

20. yep
this was back when I was seriously fucked up in the head, way before therapy had taken a useful hold on me.

I had just learned that my very first therapist, whom I'd been seeing for a year and with whom I had a really good relationship, was moving to Arizona. at the time I rented a room with a good Christian family. from the session in which he told me he was moving, I took home a bottle of brandy ( cheap cherry). I drank as I watched Cagney & Lacey. when it was over, I called a 900 sex line. It was the kind where you just listened to a recording. this was way pre- cell phone. I called on the only phone in the house. anyone could have picked up the extension.

A couple of weeks later, Judy, the mom, confided in me that their teenage son had called a sex line. it wasn't until years later that I realized she was giving me a chance to confess. they knew all along that it was me, of course.

that family was very good to me and I still feel terrible that I never understood or thanked them for their care, grace, and generosity.

that was the first time I got drunk, and the only time I did something stupid while drunk.

sorry I haven't capitalized the first words of sentences. it's my slide it app and I'm too lazy to go back and fix it.

25. Once upon a time...
I was at a friends party. They had made this Giant Fruit punch, with lots of fruit floating in it. The stuff was so good and sweet, that I kept drinking it. I have no idea what was really in it, but this was weeks after I swore off drinking, because I had spent the night praying to the porcelain bowl. I knew I was in trouble after a few drinks when I tried to stand up and the room was spinning. I made it to the bathroom.. gawd, never again!!
