Need help downloading a document! |
|
My former faculty advisor, a lovely prof who persists in STILL using WordPerfect, tried to send me her sabbatical monograph after attempting to convert it into Word. I can open it on my PC but not print it. I have tried to open it on my daughter's MAC but I get the inkwell thingie, warning me of possible danger in doing so. Can I safely download it on the MAC? Can I print it if I do? I promised I would read it and get back to her...short of begging her to print me out a copy and my rushing over to her campus office (which would be an intrusion into her schedule), I don't know what to do. I'm pretty technically challenged myself (but at least I gave up WP years ago...)...
Thanks for any help you can give...

1. Since you can open it, |
|
Can't you just cut and paste it into the product you use?

2. Try to download it first, then launch Word, then do >>>> |

....File > Open > File type: All > select the filename of the downloaded file and open it (in other words, you want to save the file locally first before you try to open it in Word)
