Northern Midwesterners: the "witch of November comes stealin'" a little early.
Tom Skilling, on Chicago's WGN, compared what we're getting soon to the 'Edmund Fitzgerald storm.' But if you really look at the low-pressure lines, it's actually going to potentially break a record that wasn't touched in 1975. Tornado watch expected any minute now in Western IL, and wind at least 50 mph in Chicago from tomorrow morning through Wednesday evening.

Seriously, take in the lawn furniture and the Halloween decorations.

2. Minnesota?
Or Montana?

(I envy you either way. I really do prefer snow to heavy wind.)

3. Minnesota.
We're supposed to miss the wind, as the "eye" passes right over us. Record low pressure, they're saying, though.

4. Good for you!
Seriously. We're gonna take some of the worst of the wind in Chicago, I hear. :(

5. I'm West of you.
We are having the same weather. I hope it is gone by tomorrow afternoon. I have to be out on the road.

6. From what I've seen of the forecasts
the hard wind will linger over northern IL for more than 36 hours. :(
