Anyone here read "Wolf Hall" by Hilary Mantel? Is it any good. It won the man booker prize so I |

assume it is good. But is it gory? It is about Henry vIII so I would assume so.

I've been meaning to read it for some time now. And since I learned that an ancestor was a gardener of some sort in the Cromwell estate, I'm interested anew.

It didn't seem particularly gory to me, although the opening scene was pretty awful. It wasn't my favorite on the Man Booker shortlist, though, although I didn't read all of them. I loved "The Children's Book" by A S Byatt, and I thought it was a better book.
