Did anybody see that abominable "Canadian Health Care Is Evil" political ad on TV?

It showed a sad-eyed middle-aged woman claiming to be a Canadian citizen complaining that she contracted a severe illness. She said "I thought my government health care would take care of it, but it didn't." Then she goes into what is obviously a canned insurance lobbyist spiel about the evils of government health care.

This piece of shit was paid for by Americans For Prosperity.

The lack of a gun is the only thing that prevented me from shooting out the TV in a frustrated Elvis Presley rage...

For one thing, Canada doesn't provide "government health care", only government health insurance.

Canadian health care providers are private practitioners, just like here in the U.S.

2. If it is the same ad that I saw that woman didn't even have a cancerous tumour, hers was benign.

She kept claiming in the ad that she would have died if it wasn't for the USA. Which is a lie.

It is very frustrating to see blatant lies on the tv go unanswered.

5. I think their idea is if you are sick, it is god's will and getting medical care goes against

god's will...unless you are rich, in which case, THAT is god's will and you should have every advantage...poor people are poor because god is unhappy with them and they deserve to suffer so they can become better people...like the rich.
Government health care/insurance interferes with that.

See? It's simple whan you understand it!

And these people want to run our country!
