Is it me? Is this happening just in Az or all over? |

Grocery shopping is getting frustrating and almost impossible. Markets have way too many displays - I can't reach items on the shelves because of displays in the aisle covering the shelves - some of the displays I can't move to reach the item I want to buy. There are so many of them only one cart can get down the aisle at a time or one must maneuver a cart to bypass the displays. I actually helped a disabled person in the aisle the other day because of the many displays. There are places in the stores one can't maneuver because the displays are too large and high that they would topple if moved - a cart some times cannot get through the aisles to get to another section.
The shoppers leave their cart in the middle of the aisle which makes things worse and wander around the aisle - I don't how many times I've said excuse more than once to pass them but some times to no avail.
Are people getting more rude, arrogant or is it just me? Or are their too many over medicated people out and about. I'm at the point where I don't want to shop anymore.

The stores I shop at don't have any of the problems you mentioned.
I'd recommend running over a few displays with your cart. :D

2. It's going on some here in Seattle. |

The difficult to reach items and the negative attitudes, but our grocery workers are treated like crap, so they are in negotiations, they may strike in time for Thanksgiving. What got me was all the kiosks at the mall, and the sales people who try to ambush you when you walk by. It's the economy and desperation and probably over medicated people.

Some are worse than others here. A few of the chains here only have the stand-alone displays at the ends of the aisles. What gripes me is the shelf stockers who block the aisles. I am old enough to remember when stores restocked the shelves at night, before business hours. It's not just the grocery stores, either. Forget going to the local Target on Monday mornings. It's wall-to-wall shelf stocking. I complained about it the other day in one of their surveys. I doubt they will do anything about it.
As for the rudeness, yep, I have noticed the same things. I don't know if over-medication is the culprit. This is an "It's all about ME" society. People only care about themselves.

|
I try to hit tuesdays or thursdays if I can, unless there is a really good deal on somehting that is over the weekend only - then I try to con some other family member into going
the aisles I hit are the foreign food section and TP, so I miss most of the pushy displays for processed crap

8. I've seen some of that, but my biggest complaint is the cost. |
|
It's really getting out of hand. I swear it seems grocery prices have tripled in the last 5 to 10 years. $6 for 11oz of storebrand ground coffee??? Unbelievable... grr!

10. Not either or. They are all three.... rude, arrogant AND over medicated. |

I hope everyone gets exactly what they deserve out of life. And judging from the state of American humanity these days, they want a whole lot of misery.
But they will not suck me into the pit. My life is just fine.
And there are a whole lot of others who won't play the negative shit-games going on out there.
Pick your moments. It's very easy to sucker the masses.
When they are doing one thing, you go do something else.
You'll be fine.

my friend who was with me said out loud "I'm not going to buy that product they are blocking the aisle" the guy quickly moved his boxes.
But, to be honest there is a lot of rudeness - today my friend were almost run over by a worker who was in a hurry with empty boxes in a cart . My friend called an complained.
I am not letting these corporations alone. If I am not given the service and being treated rudely - I am going to report it. From what I understand many of these people who work at these place are told to be that way.
