I watched the new Harry Potter yesterday evening
Let me put it this way. I had a couple of heart attacks during that movie. :scared:

I enjoyed the movie. Now I can't wait for 7.2 getting released.

1. lol. my daughter won't see this one until the second one comes out
she doesn't like the idea of having to wait six months for part two. (i imagine she knows how the story ends--she read the book)

3. Heart attack? Yeah, I had at least one.
But I won't describe it here. I'd hate to spoil anything.

I'm just glad I didn't see that scene in 3-D.

Yikes!

:hi:

Don't say I didn't warn you. The snake? I enjoyed the movie too, the special effects are so well done.

Yes, the snake .... and yes, you warned me.

The special effects were great. Imagine that movie with the special effects from the "King Kong" times x(

7. The warning wasn't for you!
It was for dumbass, but I didn't say it because he is the sort who would not click on a Harry Potter thread anyway. Special effects have come a long way. The Harry Potter films have the cinematography, the quality actors, the set design, all of the things take a story and make it into a successful film.

8. I know you didn't mean me
but since I mentioned the same animal I thought I better add the spoiler alert to my title too.

Don't forget the books :D

13. Yes, that was the scene. Even now ...
even now, I'm still a little bit suspicious of academics, like that historian, or anyone who works near the industry, including library workers.

MHC's "fear factor" went up a notch or two.

I would not make a sound in your library.

:scared:

12. I really, really liked it.
I'm being cautious about this, because there is still so much room to fuck it up in the 2nd half. But if they don't, they'll be my favorite film adaptations of the series so far.

(Note to the filmmakers on how not to fuck up the second half: Yes, we all love Harry, Hermione, and Ron. They are the MAIN characters, no doubt. But they are not the only IMPORTANT characters. If you STILL manage to miss just how important Dumbledore's and Snape's life stories were to everything that came later...yes, that will count as "fucking it up." Also, Neville and Luna are just as heroic in their secondary-character ways as Harry is in his protagonist way. Please to be paying attention to that too, please.)
