Why does it always take so long for your muscles to loosen up after you hurt your back? |
|
Sweet Jeebus! I fucking know you hurt muscles, quit being an asshole about it though.

1. Someone who had injured his back real bad once told me... |
|
...that the muscles tighten up as a protective measure for the back. It's an involuntary, memory like defense to protect the back from getting injured again. He explained it better than that but that's as good as I can remember.
Good luck and despite what the warning label says....a little bit of alcohol does make the pain pills work better ;)

2. They're spazzin, Lost... |

worst damn thing to go through. Sometimes you need an ice pack for this. after the episode is over, you need warm packs. Ibuprofin pretty much is useless for that kind of pain.
I used to go to a massage therapist when I had the money. Now I have a big cheap percussor from Big Lots!

3. The muscles spasm for a long time. |
|
My doctor gave me an antihistamine to take, in decreasing doses, and a mild pain killer. It got me through the worst of it.
Good luck. You are right. It does take a long time. But please ask for some help if you are not getting it. It will help you to move around, work and sleep.
