What do you call that opening thing with the music? I can't seem to think of the name.
But regarding that thing. The one for Dexter is probably the only one that I don't fast-forward through, because even after all these seasons, I still find it entertaining.
But I have a question about it.
One of the early clips shows him shaving, but by the time he eats the ham, he's still unshaven. And when he leaves the apartment, he's also still unshaven.
Was he just shaving his neck? Is that what those guys do who wear perennial 5 o'clock shadows? They still shave their necks? I thought the point was to avoid shaving altogether.
No?

to the old Odd Couple's theme. Never have understood how they do the eternal one day's growth.

I knew it reminded me of some tune, but The Odd Couple, that's it!

2. Interesting. I never noticed the shaving result. |
|
I'll try to remember to watch for it the next time I watch the show.
That's also a good question about the perennial 5 o'clock shadows. I don't know how they keep those up either.

|
Has anyone else noticed that?

9. yeah, I remember from the first season...gave it kind of cartoonish |
|
element. Seems like that first season they used more primary colors and were going for that stylistic element. Now, it is more muted and realistic. I miss that style from the earlier episodes.

but after the first few times of watching the opening I started fast forwarding. The food scenes are revolting to me.

7. I agree. We watch Dexter every week with some family members after dinner |
|
and a few weeks ago we did "breakfast for dinner" where we had eggs with hot sauce, ham, blood oranges, coffee...just like Dexter. Sure, we're weirdos but it was fun and definitely helped my breakfast craving from watching the opening.
