3. Check the thyroid (could be other health issues as well)
Edited on Fri Dec-03-10 10:31 AM by LaurenG
One of mine is hyperthyroid and when her meds stopped working that's what she did. We have since put her on oral meds and she's back to normal. I hope its nothing for the kitty's sake.

6. Their food bowl is empty*, at least that's the case here when my two boys
won't leave me alone.

*empty being defined as they can see a bit of stainless steel bowl through the food that's still there.

7. mine know when the bag (up on a shelf they don't go) is below half full
she starts getting nervous about a week before it is empty - and godforbid you actually let it get empty without a replacement on standby! If we had stairs I would be dead from the hallway-tripping behavior.

8. LOL, that sounds like self-defeating behavior on their part
After all, if you died then they'd *really* run out of food.

Although... an excellent line (paraphrased) from last night's The Big Bang Theory:

Leonard to Sheldon: "Did you know that if you died, your cats would eat your dead body?!?"

Sheldon, deadpan: "You don't have to sell me on how wonderful they are!"
