I was so excited to arrive at the hotel the first night that I downed a few cuba libres and ran down onto the beach and walked into the ocean waves fully clothed. Several people followed me. It was a nice start to a great vacation.

1. I went to the Redneck Riviera (Gulf Shores, Alabama)

when I was 14 with a youth group. It was the first time I had really 'been' anywhere.

2. Last year - me and my drunk, crazy friends backpacking through Europe.

We saw the red light district in Amsterdam, pulled an all-nighter in Maastricht, nearly destroyed a hotel room in Belgium, and saw Berlin's seedy underbelly. All in all, awesome trip.

3. Thanksgiving in Bimini, scuba diving and eating lobster.

4. Singapore a couple of weeks ago...

First non-working vacation in 35 years.

5. A circle tour of Lake Superior with my fam. Great fun.

Driving across the US, Russian river cruise, Jamaica. It's been a while since I've had a good one too. I think the key is picking great companions to travel with :)

7. I used to be a travel agent, can't name just one. Mykonos, Jamaica and Cabo San Lucas.

Each was wonderful in its own way. :-)
