Outrageously amazing potatoes I made tonight
Edited on Sun Dec-05-10 04:23 AM by K8-EEE
I got this from the Pioneer cooking lady whoever her name is anyway....

Preheat oven to 375

Just cut up some of those little red potatoes in chunks, 1 inch or so.

Cut out the root of 3 or 4 heads (yeah, whole heads) of garlic but don't peel it

The garlic goes in the corners of a shallow baking pan cut side up

Spread the potatoes in a single layer in the pan

Drizzle with 1/3 cup olive oil making sure the cut part of the garlic is covered

Then pour 1/3 cup white wine in the pan

SALT AND PEPPER

Cover loosely with foil and bake for 45 minutes, uncover and bake 20 more minutes

TAKE THESE TO A POTLUCK AND THEY WILL DISAPPEAR! Great and cheap dish for a crowd.

8. OH SORRY, good question I neglected that part!
The cooked cloves slip right out, that's why you keep them in the corner of the pan, once cooked the papery skins come off almost in one piece, then you mix the cooked garlic in with the potatoes....YUM!!
