MAYBERRY: Why didn't Andy get on with Charlene Darling?
Instead he ends up with old stick in the mud school marm Helen Crump. I'd rather have been with Barney's girl,Thelma Lou than Helen. But Charlene, she seems more his type than anything. She can sing, dance, cook a possum and had a great family situation.

The family that picks together stays together.

5. Those straight-laced types are often wild women in bed.
Not really familiar with the show, but that is my guess based solely on what I read here.

6. There Was That Skeet Shooter Who Seemed His Type Too....
also that county nurse was a good looking southern girl. How did they decide to have the school teacher who was not an outdoorsie person, was extremely jealous,a bit of a snob (how did she ever pick Mayberry?)and did not seem the type to ever enter her kitchen for anything but a glass of water!
