I wanted to say something about SG1
I don't agree with all their metaphors. But there are some pretty good concepts in those shows.

Basically they say that there are false things that get people to be 'jaffas' and worship them.

They have some flaws talking about it being cultural. Sorta like there are different 'things' for different cultures.

Basically many shows are concepts people have seen about the supernatural that they are telling other people about. Although they also have their perspective in them.

The perspective of much of SG1 films is that most want to take your life, the wraith, where they live through you, and the concept that it is by cultural or even race, that can get a person to fight for no reason. As far as taking someones life, that is interesting concept, might depend if they are there to help and a few other things. If they try to take you over, to do things like racist thoughts, I would say they are bad and not listen to them. If they try to give comfort to many in hardship with love, that seems like something else, even if they will not get involved in the form of agreeing to hurt other people.

It also seemed that the show told a story from a certain perspective that followed current events in metaphor. But only from a perspective of a few people.

They have both good and bad thoughts and concepts in their stories also.

The SG1 films are basically a few people of Masonic beliefs sharing their thoughts with those that can see those things in metaphor. That is best guess of the intent, although it is through their bias also.

You will notice that the symbol for SG command is masonic, and many people that make shows put those symbols in them. That does not make them bad, nor a conspiracy. Someone that puts a masonic symbol in something is not working by some conspiracy of control, but just putting their symbol in the show. Some can even do it if not part of those groups to add to, or take from those macros. So it may or may not even be about masonic beliefs. And the masons believe people can believe in the spiritual in any form that they believe. And find that show to be honorable by not being secret about its thoughts. Even if putting them in entertaining metaphor. Although I disagree with much of the pyramid people from what I have seen of use of secrecy.

I don't have much against the masons, and know it is not group thought, but many people that see metaphors at a different level, although I disagree with the secrecy, they also have been more open in shows like that also. The post that less information will be able to be given to future generations posted in a different thread might be someone in 'temporal doctrine' thoughts. Or as said in other post, it might be some group that are within some system thinking they can put some 'thoughts' on topics in a form that can be seen by people of later generations.

The problem is also who should decide what history is written. The news papers have issues of accuracy. Some just lie, others are said to be kiddie programs for the dumb people, by some that think intelligence is what is worth, and think of most society as children, and themselves as adults. The shows in metaphor also have biases.

And I don't mind the shows in metaphor, what was wrong in the system is they took out all the discussion of the supernatural not in coded metaphor, scorching of the sky, but wanted to keep the supernatural for those that could see in metaphor.

I agree that much of religions get corrupted to things like materialism, or for gain for groups that go against the teachings of religion. However much of the spiritual in so many places being shut out of society is not to help society, but so those that know it exist, can use supernatural against the many that lose there protection or cover from knowing of the better spiritual ideas.

Or if they know the spiritual exists and use the secret side, you would not want others to know of the spiritual at all, so people can not have the cover of light side that wants to show their secrets.

So I admire shows like SG1 for showing the spiritual exist, even if in alien metaphor, or other metaphors. Also why Joss Whedon is pretty good in my thoughts, since he was willing to show the supernatural, and even the concept that everyone is partly flawed, by showing the bad side is also part of people. Although label trap kicked him a bit, then again he thought that would happen, (last few episodes of angel) I try to remember the light side is stronger, and the PTB, are not stronger, unless you think they are, as I have no beer and travel money LOL.

Then again I might see those shows differently then many, and know there is good and bad in them also. It is funny that many of those shows are about stopping the apocalypse, when I think it happens through all time simultaneously, so that might be part of a bias I have when seeing them. And since they do reveal some thoughts, which is part of that concept.

And also as a compliment to many of those shows, many of those writers tried to show that the supernatural does exist, I think I might be trying to show the same thing, including using many of their forms. So where it was just in metaphor, now it could also be thought of easier, or so people can learn some of their metaphors. "Today in the mountains, tomorrow the world" So if anything maybe I do the same thing they do, or I think I do the same thing they think they do.

So I like the writers and producers of those shows, even though some of the supernatural is bad, people not knowing it exists, does not seem to be the answer. So I am glad they discussed the supernatural even if they had bias, or it did not match my view exactly.
