Take Texas and Oklahoma for example. You would think Crazy and Stupid would be their shining star - - but it is not so.

You have arguably the worlds best BBQ there.

At the same time you have Tex Mex.

Then you point to MS or AL - again, BBQ.

Humans will find their lights, or they will poke their own into the shroud of culture.

1. mississippi's shining star is not bbq it's gambling

yes, yes, everyone has gambling now but there was a time when this wasn't so and the entire justification for the state of mississippi was crazy illegal gambling joints on every corner of biloxi etc.

and then came reagan and it became obv. the economy could never recover from that...so then they had to make them legal

and then came katrina and the "me too" world and it will never be the same, just as the world will never be the same for nevada or for atlantic city

but there was a time when mississippi was actually different and special

everybody has a barbecue, what's special about that?

BBQ - in its purest form - is meat, fed to the fire, in exchange for flavor.

When enjoyed with the perfect sides, and the perfect drink - done the perfect way....there is a little bit of heaven there.

That is the beauty of BBQ.

Yes, every little girl is a princess - that is why, you as a male, should try to woo every princess in one's youth, as a matter of formality and fun.

If it doesn't work it doesn't work but if it does it does.

And besides, lots of sexual, proto-sexual, and post-sexual issues are resolved.

But in terms of BBQ, the result of such a struggle is the flavor, and having everyone v everyone produces a beautiful experience.
