Can anyone else measure how drunk they are by how their musical taste changes? |

I can easily. If I go to party or club and there is rap or bad dance music playing I keep thinking "Ugh, this fucking sucks." Then a few drinks and I can tolerate it. After a few more drinks I am loving it. As a general rule if I am actually enjoying any rap song I am not driving.
It's kind of funny, I've been to shows for some rather artsy and "sophisticated" bands before, but then go to an after party where people are singing along to stuff like "Move Bitch Get Out The Way" and "We Want Some Pussy"

1. Instead of getting more lively |

I tended to like more boo-hoo type stuff the more I had to drink. Things like Simon and Garfunkel's 'Sound of Silence' or Neil Young's 'Harvest' album... to name just a few off of the top of my head.
I could start off in a great mood and end up in tears by the end of the night. I still have no idea why the hell I did that to myself for so long. :shrug:
But that was just me... Alcohol and chronic depression don't mix very well. I quit drinking over a year ago and am doing better. Now if I could just get rid of this damn insomnia! {{grr}}
I'm glad someone is having fun though. Cheers!!! :-)
