6. Whatever happened to her. She was a DU Treasure..Made it seem like a Community..

She always remembered our Posts and When we Joined DU..and she would marke the Milestones of our Posts with a "CONGRATULATIONS!"

I heard she was not well a few years ago...but then it dropped off the radar. I'm not here in the Lounge...and maybe you guys all know what happened to that peaceful, lovely poster.

I can't remember if she welcomed me on my first posts, but she did on my 100, 200 etc. Did Newyawker99 herself mention she was ill or did she relay her condition through another DU'er? If so, who still has contact with that DU'er?

Newyawker99 was one of the rocks that formed the foundation of DU, and with almost 150,000 posts was also one of the most prolific.

7. Do you believe all the changes?

In 2001, who would have thought we'd go through such a miserable and frightening period of time. Not only has our country changed, but people themselves have changed. And not for the better. What was your mood when you first signed up compared to your mood now?
