Aw, my kids done me wrong! |
|
The little darlings drank the last of the hot chocolate earlier this afternoon. And this is a night that definitely calls for both hot and chocolate. I don't even have a piece of holiday fudge I can melt over the stove and suck up through a straw. This is tragic!

1. have you got a bar of bakers chocolate that has turned to dust back in corner of the cupboard? |

that will work if you have sugar and milk (heat the milk good and hot before you try to dissolve the dust, add a teeny pinch of salt, and a little vanilla if you have it and sugar to taste.:9
(guess what I have to go do now?)

4. You inspired me and my third child is eternally grateful to you. |

He lost out to his brothers as well.
I tore the pantry apart and found an old crusty box of Hershey's unsweetened cocoa powder. Goodness knows when that was originally purchased.
The kids were fascinated to watch me heat a pan of milk on the stove and then add the cocoa, agave, vanilla and pinch of salt. They declared it better than the packaged stuff. Aw, the good old days!

2. That's why you should keep a stash of Ovaltine in the cabinet over the refrigerator. |
|
Warm it up and add a little spiced rum - good shit, Maynard.

6. If you have cocoa you could put some in a big frying pan with some milk, sugar, and a little butter. |

Makes great cocoa. Yummy.
If you want a less calorific cold version get out a blender or your 'magic bullet' and put in a tall glass of milk. Mix in 2 tbsp of cocoa and two packets of sugar twin. Mix on high.
