It is about books for homeless children, that they are needed and appreciated.

2. My hospital is doing a toy drive--often forgotten about are older "kids"--teenagers

Everyone buys Elmo this and Barbie that, but kids that are too old for barbie but still young enough to want presents seem to be forgotten.

So this year we put our focus on teenagers. Body spray (that awful Axe shit that teenage boys looove), perfume for girls, makeup, hair appliances like blow dryers and straight irons, gift cards to sporting goods stores, gift cards to the mall. That foo-foo facial shit that teenage girls like, those gift sets at Target where you get lotion, bath soaps, those kinds of things, bookbags...those kinds of things.

The older kids tend to get forgotten, or if they're remembered, they're given socks and underpants. While Im sure such things are needed, are they really what a 14 year old wants to open on Christmas morning??
