Coming up on TCM, my second favorite version of "A Christmas Carol" - musical "Scrooge" with Finney

At 9:30 p.m. EST on Friday. The music is contagious; the ending is over the top, but Albert Finney is wonderful, and all in all, it holds up remarkably well for 40 years old.

I am in amazement that it was 1970, because I remember taking my late Mom (who was younger than I am now, naturally) to see it, and we walked out of the theater so very happy. So this one's for Mom.

Even though it's only second best, as you can see from the following. But certainly worth a look, and a listen. And God bless us, every one.

1. Dr. Who - Scrooge coming soon.

Saw an ad on BBC America for this Dr. Who version of Scrooge - looks pretty good - very "modern"

Can't wait to see it - it premiers on Christmas Day.
