Funny how weather is forecast. |
|
I live in Western PA and we are in a Winter Storm Watch and when we read the reports it says 6 or more INCHES of snow.
Okay. Now about about 20 miles due west of here is Ohio and they are predicting 1 or more FEET of snow.
Now how is it that two town about the same latitude and longitude for the most part have such difference in snow fall predictions? Keep in mind both cities are south interstate 80 which those of you in this area know is the dividing line sort of speaking between heavy snowfall and lighter snowfall.

Pittsburgh is always sort of in a weird dead zone for weather - 20 miles north or 20 miles east of here will get a foot and we'll get an inch or two. It's some sort of topographical anomaly.
