I finished my Christmas shopping today.

Okay, not really. :P I'm just way behind this year. I have gotten NOTHING yet for Mr. MG (although I have ideas), my mom, my aunt...plus my brother and his family are coming for Christmas (from California), so I have extra gifts to buy. Two weeks, eh? AAAAAaaaaagggghhhhh!

5. Is it that time of year again already?

I feel like I just got done with last year's Christmas shopping.

I guess I has better get started.

I always hate this. My wife is a very well-adjusted woman who grew up in a rural part of Germany, and
really never asks for (or really wants) anything beyond a roof over her head and the means to keep warm
in the winter. My younger daughter just wanted a good education so she could get a good-paying job. That's
now done, so she's happy. The elder one is stuck in a low-paying job in the city of her dreams (NYC) in
the field she loves (fashion design), and only really wants a nice two-bedroom apartment in the East 30s.
The $1.5 million price tag sort of puts that one beyond my Christmas budget (or any other kind of budget!).

Even if I could get all three of them a new Mercedes and fancy jewelry, and all they'd say is "thanks, but
what am I supposed to do with that stuff?"

I HATE Christmas shopping.
